Ask questions about a PDF using AI
This workflow fetches a PDF from Google Drive, splits it into chunks, embeds the chunks using OpenAI embeddings, and enables chat interactions with the document content.
Free n8n automation
Receives Markdown over a webhook, numbers the headings, builds a table of contents from those same numbers, skips headings inside fenced code blocks, and returns a branded PDF with a running header, page numbers and an optional watermark. Checks the remaining render quota before spending it and answers a bad request with 422 instead of an empty PDF. Requires the verified n8n-nodes-pdfmint community node and a PDFMint API key; no AI model.
Invoices, contracts, CVs and forms arrive as PDFs, and someone has to read each one and type the details in.

Use these to read invoices, contracts, CVs and forms, pull out the key details, and save them to a spreadsheet or database without manual typing. It's most useful for operations/documentation teams.
Click "Add to cart", check out free with your details, and download the workflow file.
Open n8n (n8n Cloud or your own server), create a new workflow, then choose "Import from File" from the menu and select the file. You can also paste the file contents straight onto the canvas.
This workflow does not need any app accounts beyond n8n itself.
Open the Webhook node, copy its production URL, and paste it into the app, website form or tool that should send data to the workflow.
Look for placeholder values such as you@example.com, sheet names, folder IDs and URLs, and replace them with your own.
Run the workflow once with test data and check every node turns green. Then turn on the Active toggle so it runs by itself.
Get it free and set it up yourself, or have it installed and working in your account.

These projects are adapted from awesome-n8n-templates by Enes Cingoz and the original workflow authors, shared under CC BY 4.0. Changes made: removed sample data and saved credential IDs, replaced hard-coded email addresses and calendar IDs with placeholders, and rewrote some descriptions. Hunain Nasir did not create the original workflows and they are not endorsed by their authors. Always review and test a workflow before using it with real data.
